Ladies..we have all been there; where you say? In a relationship that we know was no good for us, one that continuously hurt use and left us dazed and confused.

We have tried everything. We have yelled, screamed, cried, discussed and voiced our needs and wants over repeatedly hoping the other person would give us what we needed. 

Sometimes we just have to walk away. Here are some tips that can help you put one foot in front of the other. 

The Five R's of Walking Away
  • Realization-understand and accept your situation as it is. Learn from your mistakes
  • Revamp-Access your situation and come up with a plan or course of necessary action.
  • Remove-Leave the situation completely. No phone calls, emails, text messages---or letters. 
  • Roll-out- Get GONE. Take what you need and be done with the situation. No looking back.
  • Rebuild-Keep moving forward. Access your talents and utilize them to build the life you want.

Break-up Does and Don'ts

Breaking up is hard to do but there is some behavior that you should never do.

Just say no to this post break-up bad behavior:

  • Don't call him to take you back--Hell don't call him period
  • Remove everything that reminds you of him from your life. ex (pictures, clothes, keepsakes)
  • Resist the urge to check his Facebook. De-friend him if you must.
  • Give yourself time and space to mourn.
  • If you have joint bills ask him for his half before he leaves, close the accounts all together, or pay them off and remove him from the account and sue him from or his half.
  • Don't participate in outrageous behavior..like cut your hair.
  • Understand you may never get closure so don't expect it.
